Police are appealing for information as part of an investigation into a one vehicle collision on Burneside Road, Kendal.
The collision occurred at approximately 9pm yesterday (Saturday 4 May).
The driver of a black Ford Fiesta, a man aged in his 20s from Kendal, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed for a number of hours whilst a forensic collision investigation was conducted.
