Swift police action has led to a 17‑year‑old pleading guilty today (8 April) to robbery and weapons offences in Carlisle.

The 17-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery and one count of possession of an offensive weapon following a hearing at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.

The offences relate to an incident at 12.34pm yesterday (7 April) at two shops on English Street, Carlisle.

He is set to be sentenced on 11 May at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.
