Emergency services are currently responding to a road traffic collision on A591 near to the Traveller's Rest Inn, Grasmere.
The single-vehicle collision was reported to police at 3:55pm today (11 July) and involves a motorcycle.
The A591 is closed in both directions and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
