Two arrests have been made as part of an investigation into an assault that occurred on Saturday 7 June at approximately 2:50am outside Efes Continental Takeaway on Cavendish Street, Barrow.
The incident involved two men, one of the men is described as having dark hair a moustache and was wearing a black t-shir with a white design on the back.
Following the incident a 22-year-old man from Cumbria was taken to hospital with a fractured skull and bleed on the brain.
A 27-year-old man from the North East of England has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and has been released on bail.
A 22-year-old woman from Millom has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offending and has been released under investigation.
Police are seeking witnesses to this incident; it is believed there was a male and a female present in the area during this assault.
