Cumbria Police is appealing for witnesses as part of an investigation into a serious injury road traffic collision on the A6 near Milestone House, north of Penrith, yesterday (1st May).
The collision which involved a white Audi and a pedestrian occurred at around 10pm.
Emergency services attended including an air ambulance.
The pedestrian – a 17-year-old - was transported to hospital. He remains in hospital in a critical condition today.
The driver of the Audi stopped at the scene of the collision and engaged with police.
Police are investigating the incident and are encouraging anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it, or anyone who has dashcam which may be of assistance – or anyone else who can assist – to come forward.
