Cumbria Police is appealing for witnesses following a collision between a van and a pedestrian in Prescott Road in Carlisle on Tuesday morning (24 June).

The incident occurred at around 9.15am.

The pedestrian – a man in his 20s - was taken to hospital after suffering serious head injuries, not believed to be life-threatening.

The vehicle involved was a white Ford Transit van. The driver stopped following the collision and has engaged with police.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam or has any other information which may assist.
