Officers investigating a fatal collision in Ambleside yesterday afternoon (29 July) are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Emergency services were called to Ambleside following a collision between a HGV and a pedestrian in Lake Road, shortly before 4.30pm
An air ambulance attended but the pedestrian – a man in his 70s – was subsequently declared deceased.
Road closures remained in place overnight as investigations continued. However, roads are now open this morning (30 July).
Officers investigating are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any other information which may assist.
Police would also encourage anyone who believes they may have video – including dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage – which may aid the investigation to come forward.
