Officers, including armed police officers, have been conducting enquiries at various addresses in the Barrow, Ulverston, Dalton, and Askham-in-Furness areas as police continue to investigate an incident reported on Thursday night (30 Oct).

Police were called at 11.38pm yesterday evening to a report of a man at an address in Barrow being threatened by a group of around five individuals armed with weapons said to include a knife and a hammer.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

Officers have been conducting enquiries following this incident, including executing warrants at a number of addresses this afternoon (31 Oct) and into this evening.

At this time, one individual has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and aggravated burglary. They remain in police custody.

Officers are likely to be continuing to conduct their enquiries through the evening.
