Barrow Police have made three arrests in response to ongoing reports of youth anti-social behaviour in the town centre.
Officers have arrested three teens in connection with the reports of ASB in the areas of Dalton Road and Hindpool Road.
One has been released on bail, another released with no further action and one remains in police custody
A further dispersal order is in place from 5pm tonight until Saturday evening covering the town centre area.
During this period, officers will have the power to order those suspected of causing nuisance, or practicing anti-social behaviour, to leave the area immediately.
A patrol plan has been put in place to continue to address the ongoing concerns reported by residents and businesses.
Inspector Grant Kelso, Barrow Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are continuing to proactively target those who we suspect to be involved in reports of ASB in the town centre who are negatively impacting on our communities.
“We would like to reassure the public that we are taking these reports seriously and are listening to your concerns. I hope the action taken last night shows that we will deal robustly with anyone found to be involved in this type of behaviour in our town.
“We will continue to have uniformed patrols in the town centre to prevent further criminality.
“Please continue to report issues to us so that we can make sure we have officers in the right place, at the right times.”
