A 19-year-old man from Barrow has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into drug supply in South Cumbria.

The arrest was carried out this morning (24 July) by detectives from Cumbria’s Community Serious and Organised Crime (CSOC) unit, who are continuing their efforts to tackle the distribution of illegal drugs in the region.

The individual was detained on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. He has since been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out.

The arrest and seizure forms part of Operation Alliance - Cumbria Constabulary’s ongoing response to protect the county against serious and organised crime.
