Efforts to locate a man missing from the Manchester area – Paul Pennington - have resulted in the recovery of a body in the vicinity of Helmn Cragg, last night (15 May).
The body was located by Mountain Rescue volunteers working as part of the efforts to find Paul.
Whilst formal identification has yet to take place, Paul’s family have been informed of developments.
Police would like to thank everyone who shared the missing person appeals for their assistance in the search, as well as Mountain Rescue volunteers.
