The Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team have secured a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) against a man at Carlisle Magistrates Court today (25 June)

The order was secured against Lucian Iliescu, 50, of no fixed address, for five years.

The conditions of the order are:

  • not to display behaviour in a public place likely to cause nuisance or annoyance to members of the public.
  • not to be in possession of any unsealed vessel containing alcohol in any public place, except Inside a licensed premises.

The CBO follows Iliescu being sentenced at Carlisle Magistrates Court for theft, criminal damage and a public order offence all committed earlier in the year.

PC Beal, Carlisle NPT said: “This Criminal Behaviour Order will prevent Iliescu from further criminality and help protect business owners and local residents in Carlisle.

"Securing this order during Neighbourhood Policing Week highlights our ongoing commitment to tackling persistent offending and protecting our communities.

“I would encourage anyone who witnesses the terms of this order being broken, to contact the police immediately. The punishment for breaking the terms of a CBO can be up to five years in prison.”

Anyone who witnesses Lucian Iliescu breaching the terms of his CBO should contact the police.
