Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing team have secured a criminal behaviour order to protect local businesses in the area.

The order was secured on 13 October against Roxanne Irving, 37, of Carlisle for five years, the conditions are Irving must not:

  • Not to enter any premises part of the Carlisle Shopwatch/Cumbria Safer Business Partnership (Carlisle)
  • Not to enter any Heron Foods supermarket store
  • Not to enter any Morrisons store
  • Not to enter any Lidl supermarket store
  • Not to enter any Aldi supermarket store
  • Not to enter Spar shop on Newtown Road and Hutton way, Carlisle
  • Not to enter Poundland, St Nicholas Gate London Road, Carlisle

The Criminal Behaviour Order follows Irving being sentenced to six weeks for six shoplifting offences between 2 June and 14 August.

Criminal Behaviour Order are a tool used to will prevent individuals from further criminality by prohibiting their behaviour, to help protect business owners and local residents in Carlisle.

We would encourage anyone who witnesses the terms of such a court order being broken to contact the police immediately.

The punishment for breaking the terms of a CBO can be up to five years in prison.

Anyone who witnesses Roxanne Irving breaching the terms of his CBO should contact the police.
