A subsequent Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) hearing was conducted on Friday at Carlisle Crown Court.
At the hearing the court heard John Ward had benefitted £479,123.55 from his criminal conduct.
Ward was assessed to have assets to the value of £212,744.16 available to be repaid and a confiscation order was granted for this amount.
Financial investigators will be able to pursue further assets if they are identified in future.
A spokesperson for Cumberland Community Serious Organised Crime (CSOC) said: “Friday’s hearing demonstrates that not only will investigators pursue justice for criminals resulting in their imprisonment but action can and will be taken to deprive such people of their illegally acquired goods and finances.”
