The Allerdale Neighbourhood Policing team secured a criminal behaviour order against a man on 13 February to further prevent his criminal behaviour.

Deri Hendren, 40, of Workington was given the Criminal Behaviour Order for two years.

Hendren’s conditions are as follows:

  • Not to enter any property or premises that are members of the Workington Schemelink at any time or any shop that displays the Schemelink sign.
  • Not to enter Tesco, Newbridge Road, Workington.
  • Not to enter The Phone Shop Murray Road, Workington

The punishment for breaking the terms of a CBO can be up to five years in prison.

Anyone who witnesses Deri Hendren breaching the terms of his CBO should contact the police.

This work forms part of Operation Enhance and the pledge towards Neighbourhood Policing.

Operation Enhance is funded after Cumbria’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner secured an additional £1m of extra funding from the Government’s Hotspot Response Fund to target anti-social behaviour (ASB) and serious violence in hotspot areas across the county.

There are increased patrols in Workington area as part of Operation Enhance.
