The Copeland Neighbourhood Policing team have secured a further Criminal Behaviour Order against an Egremont man.

The order was secured on 8 April against Mark Timney, 55, of Main Street, Egremont for two years, the conditions are Timney must not:

  • Enter any of the shops on the Whitehaven Shop Watch Scheme or any shops displaying the Whitehaven Shop Watch Scheme logo
  • Enter the Co-op on Main Street, Egremont
  • Enter Greggs, on Main Street, Egremont
  • Enter Boots Pharmacy, on Main Street, Egremont

The Criminal Behaviour Order follows Timney appearing at court where he pleaded guilty of breaching a criminal behaviour order and theft from a on 20 February at B&M in Whitehaven. He was also given a rehabilitation activity and a financial penalty.

Anyone who witnesses the terms of such a court order being broken to contact the police immediately.

The punishment for breaking the terms of a CBO can be up to five years in prison
