The family of 62-year-old man who died following a road traffic collision on the A66, near Penrith, on Thursday (22 October) have paid tribute to his life.
In tribute to Jeff Marshall, his family said:
“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Jeff - an amazing husband, dad, grandad, son, uncle and brother.
“Jeff was a keen classic car enthusiast and gardener and could turn his hand to almost anything.
“He loved holidays and took the family on some unforgettable trips around the world. He was particularly fond of Spain, travelling the length and breadth of the country over the years.
“Jeff had a wide circle of friends and could talk to anybody. He was a regular in The Swan in Cockermouth, amongst others.
“He loved spending time with his family, and introduced the next generation to his favourite place, Whitby, which now means so much to us.
“Our lives will never be the same without him. Please raise a glass to Jeff next time you're in the pub.”
