The family of a man who died following a road traffic collision near Waverton Village on 24 May 2026 have paid tribute to a man who had a “wonderful sense of humour”.
Colin Edward Brunt, 65, from the Milnthorpe area was riding his motorcycle at the time of the collision.
His family paid tribute to his life:
We are utterly devastated at the sudden loss of our wonderful husband and brother.
Colin was much-loved by his family and popular in his village, talking to many on walks with his two adored golden retrievers.
Meticulous and passionate in all his hobbies, from fishing and hang-gliding in his youth to vintage motorcycling in later years.
A wonderful sense of humour, we will cherish every memory of him.
Police are continuing to investigate the collision and encourage anyone with information which may assist this investigation to come forward.
