Police have now made 12 arrests as part of an investigation into alleged illegal foxhunting in the Ambleside area.
Investigations are continuing following an incident believed to have happened during a meet on Saturday November 8 involving the Coniston Foxhounds.
Seven arrests were made on November 13, with a further series of arrests made in the last week.
All those arrested are men. They were arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. All have been bailed while enquiries continue.
Chief Inspector Lee Skelton, of Cumbria Police, said: “This investigation remains ongoing. Arrests have continued to be made over the last week as our enquiries continue.
“I would once again encourage anyone who has information which may assist this investigation to please make contact with us.”
