A man from Kirkby Stephen has been jailed for 12 months after a vehicle he was travelling in was stopped by Eden NPT on Wednesday (1 October).
Christopher Turnbull-Allen aged 39, of Westgarth Court , Kirkby Stephen was sentenced today (3 October) at South Cumbria Magistrates Court.
Kirkby Stephen's PC 2500 Adams, PC 1767 Green and PC 3451 Clark searched Turnbull-Allen’s vehicle on Wednesday 1 October and located a quantity of cocaine.
Turnbull-Allen was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.
PC Adams said: “This is a positive result and a quick turnaround from initial stop to the sentence handed out at court today.
“Eden NPT will continue to target those who deal drugs. We have contempt for the act of criminality, which has no place in our communities.
“If you suspect criminality is taking place in your neighbourhood then we want to hear from you so we can take action.”
