UPDATE:
Police can confirm a man has now been charged with misuse of 999 following an incident in Carlisle yesterday (15 May).
Ben Addison, aged 26, of Melbourne Road, Carlisle was charged last night by detectives and has been remanded. He is due to appear before Carlisle Magistrates Court today (16 May) .
From further enquires carried out it has been established that the individual never had access to a firearm and there was no firearm involved in the incident yesterday.
