A man from the Manchester area is in custody on suspicion of attempted robbery following an incident in Maryport on Saturday evening (17 January).
Police were called at around 6.30pm to Coral in Senhouse Street following a report that a man had attempted to rob the business.
Today (18 January), officers arrested a man in his 30s from the Manchester area on suspicion of attempted robbery.
He remains in police custody.
