A man has been charged following an assault on Botchergate, Carlisle shortly before 5am in the early hours of Sunday morning (7 Dec).
A man, in his thirties, was assaulted outside Smiley’s nightclub, sustaining serious injuries. He remains in hospital.
Abu-Zahra Rabea, 28 of South View Terrace, Carlisle has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
Enquiries are ongoing and police would like to speak with any witnesses who were in the area at the time to assist with the investigation.
