A man will appear at court charged in connection with the death of a woman following a fatal road traffic collision in Cleator Moor.
Kieran Yorke, aged 22, from Woodend, Egremont, will appear at Workington Magistrates’ Court today (28 May) charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
The charge relates to a collision on Ennerdale Road at approximately 4:25pm on Tuesday (26 May) where a woman and her grandchild were struck by a motorbike.
Gillian Livingstone, aged 76 from Cleator Moor, died at the scene of the collision.
The child remains in hospital in a stable condition after they suffered a serious head injury.
Two other men, aged 22 and 23 respectively, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers are continuing their appeal for information.
Officers would also request that people in the area with dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage review that footage and contact police if they have captured anything which would aid the investigation.
