A man is appearing at court today (Feb 3) after being charged following a robbery on Clift Street, Carlisle.
The incident occurred yesterday (Feb 2) at around 10:27am.
The incident involved a woman in her late 70s who suffered face and hand injuries.
Reece Holmes, 25, Longholme Road, Carlisle was charged with robbery, two counts of possession of a knife in a public place and possession of a controlled drug of Class B – Cannabis.
He is to appear at Carlisle Magistrates.
