Officers from the Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team yesterday (May 8) secured a Criminal Behaviour Order against a man at Carlisle Magistrates Court.
Andrew Bell, 48, of no fixed address, was given the five-year order, after being sentenced for a public order offence which he was sentenced for 7 days and give a fine.
The conditions of his Criminal Behaviour Order are:
- Not to enter the City Centre of Carlisle unless whilst in transit on Public Transport or attending Carlisle train station in possession of a valid train ticket or immediately purchasing a valid train ticket and in any case to board the train in one hour. He must leave immediately once disembarking a train arriving at Carlisle train station.
- Not attend Cumberland Infirmary, Newtown Road Carlisle other than for a pre-arranged medical appointment or for treatment following an accident or emergency.
We would encourage anyone who witnesses the terms of such a court order being broken to contact the police immediately.
The punishment for breaking the terms of a CBO can be up to five years in prison.
Anyone who witnesses Andrew Bell breaching the terms of his CBO should contact the police.
