A man is due in court today (13 Nov) charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug after officers stopped a car on the A590 earlier this week.
James Hurst, 38, of Dunkirk Lane, Leyland, Lancashire has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug after officers from Cumbria Police’s Roads Policing Unit stopped a vehicle on the A590 at around 10.15pm on Tuesday (11 Nov) and conducted a search.
He is due to appear before Barrow Magistrates’ Court this morning.
A second man who was also arrested has been released under investigation as officers continue with their enquiries.
The investigation is being led by Cumbria Police officers in Westmorland and Furness Serious Organised Crime (CSOC) Unit and forms part of Operation Alliance - our wider ongoing response to protect the county against serious and organised crime.
