Dale Thomas Graham, 40, of no fixed abode has been jailed today (3 July) for drugs supply.
Graham was sentenced to 3 years and 7 months in prison at Carlisle Crown Court after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A controlled drugs (heroin).
The court heard how Graham was stopped by officers on 7 February 2024 on Orton Road in Carlisle.
Graham was found to be in possession of two snap bags containing large quantities of brown powder, over £500 in cash and a mobile phone which was constantly ringing.
The powder later tested positive for heroin.
Detective Constable Lewis Young said: “I am pleased with the result of the sentencing today and hope it acts as a deterrent to those who seek profit from addiction.
“Those who choose to deal drugs in our county have no place within our communities.
“Cumbria Police will continue to pursue these criminals and will act on information we receive from the public to bring those involved in drug dealing to justice.”
