FATAL FOUR: Last night officers stopped a motorcyclist and arrested him after he failed a roadside drug wipe test.

The arrest - in Workington - is part of our Fatal Four road safety operation: Op Spotlight.

Speeding
Using a mobile phone at the wheel
Not wearing a seatbelt
Driving under the influence of drink and/or drugs

The motorcyclist was stopped at around 11.30pm last night (28 April). He was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle whilst over the limit for a controlled drug.

He was subsequently released under investigation to allow time for blood test results.
