
A man from Penrith has been jailed for 2 years and 3 months for drug supply offences.
Aron Underwood, aged 49 of Crocus Avenue, Penrith was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday 21 July for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs – Cannabis.
In June 2024, Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a misuse of drugs act warrant at Underwood’s address and located a large quantity of cannabis alongside other drugs paraphernalia and cash.
The drugs seized were estimated to have a street value of over £42,000.
A second warrant was carried out at Underwood's address in May 2025. This search resulted in further quantities Cannabis and cash being located. The street value of the drugs was estimated to be over £3000.
Investigating officer, PC Stewart Green from Eden's Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Underwood showed complete disregard for the ongoing investigation against him and continued dealing drugs, resulting in our team carrying out a second warrant at his address.
“Drug supply is a blight on our communities and an issue which is often raised with us as one of your key priorities in Penrith.
“This conviction is just one of many that shows we will not tolerate this type of offending.
“If you choose to supply drugs, you will be pursued and you brought to justice.
“We rely on our communities to be our eyes and ears so that we can challenge and act on information relating to drug supply.
“If you suspect criminality is taking place in your neighbourhood then we want to hear from you so we can take action.”
