Officers from Eden’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have secured a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) against a Penrith woman.
Leanne Buckley, 33, of no fixed abode, was sentenced yesterday (29 July) to 28 weeks in prison for offences including assault, harassment and breach of a restraining order.
Eden NPT had applied for a CBO which was granted following the sentence.
These orders are granted by courts and include prohibitions preventing criminal and anti-social behaviour (ASB).
The order is in place for two years and prohibits Buckley from entering a number of shops in Penrith including M&S, Booths, Home Bargains, Morrisons and Spar.
She is also prohibited from entering Skiddaw View, Griffin Yard and Pategill Road and must not be in possession of an open container of alcohol whilst in public.
The punishment for breaking the terms of a Criminal Behaviour Order can be up to five years in prison.

“This order will prevent Buckley from further criminality and help protect business owners and local residents in Penrith.
“We are committed to tackling ASB and its broader criminality and will use legislative measures such as this to manage the behaviour of persistent offenders.
