Police in Barrow are investigating four reports of damage in the Dalton Road and Hindpool road areas of Barrow overnight (21-22 Jan).

Four incidents were reported overnight whereby damage was caused to a number of vehicles and to businesses on Dalton Road, where windows were smashed. A further incident was reported in the early hours of this morning (22 Jan) where a window of a petrol station was smashed on Hindpool Road.

The incidents occurred between 10pm on 21 January and the early hours of 22 January.

Officers from Barrow’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) are actively investigating the reports and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Inspector Grant Kelso, of Barrow NPT, said: “The incidents reported to us may be linked and we are actively conducting enquiries to find those responsible.”

“Officers will be out conducting high visibility patrols to provide reassurance and a visible policing presence in the areas affected.

“If you have any information about the incidents, or any concerns you wish to raise, please speak to them.

“If you witnessed any of the incidents or have any footage which may assist in our investigation please report online or call 101.”
