Cumbria Police is appealing for witnesses and information – including CCTV and doorbell footage - following a serious road traffic collision in which a police officer was injured.
Police received a number of calls at around 11.20pm last night (1 May) relating to a motorcycle being ridden dangerously in the Lesh Lane area of Barrow.
Police have attended.
Following attendance, a motorcycle has collided with a police officer.
The motorcyclist did not stop at the scene and is currently outstanding.
The police officer was taken to hospital, where she remains, having suffered a broken arm.
Police are continuing efforts to identify the motorcyclist and are encouraging anyone with information on their identity – or any other information which may assist – to come forward.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or doorbell footage which would assist – whether it shows the incident itself or the time leading up to or following the incident.
