Cumbria Police is appealing for the public’s help – and specifically taxi drivers in the Windermere area – in the search for a missing man who is believed to have travelled to Cumbria.
Paul Pennington, from the Manchester area, had previously last been seen in the vicinity of the Manchester Royal Infirmary on 30 April.
However, it is believed he then travelled to Cumbria, with a reported sighting of him on 30 April at Windermere Train Station at around 9.50pm (see CCTV stills).
Police in Cumbria and Manchester are concerned for Paul’s welfare and are urging anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to come forward.
They are particularly keen to hear from local taxi drivers as it is believed he may have been picked up from the train station in Windermere by taxi – believed to be dark-coloured, possibly a Ford Estate - on the evening of 30 April.
Paul is 58-year-old and described as being of medium height and build.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police. You can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit. You can also phone on 101.
