Officers from Westmorland and Furness’s Community and Serious Organised Crime (CSOC) Unit conducted a search warrant at an address in Kendal yesterday morning (30 April) which led to the arrest of one man.

The warrant was executed on Dockray Hall Road and a man in his forties was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

During searches of the property officers also located and seized a large quantity of cocaine, worth up to £11,000.

The man has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The warrant and seizure form part of Operation Alliance - The Constabulary’s wider ongoing response to protect the county against serious and organised crime.

A spokesperson from the CSOC Unit said: “This investigation is ongoing.

“We understand the harm illegal drugs cause to our communities and will continue to target and disrupt those who supply them to keep our towns safe.

“Anyone with information on drug supply or criminal activity should report this to police so intelligence can be acted upon.”
