Police in Kendal are currently responding to an incident which was reporting this morning (3 April) at 9:33am in which a man, in his 20s, sustained a stab wound to his hand.
The incident occurred on Aspen Close.
Injuries are not thought to be serious or life-threatening.
Enquiries are currently being carried out and residents in the area may see a larger-than-usual police presence as searches are executed.
Armed police have also been deployed as a precaution due to the nature of the assault.
We would like to reassure people there is no perceived threat to the public at this time.
