Police and emergency services are currently responding to an incident on Dale Street, Ulverston.
At 7:34pm this evening (18 June) officers were called to a property with a report of a man in distress.
Due to the nature of the report, armed response officers are present at the scene. A cordon has also been put in place and neighbouring properties have been evacuated out of the area.
Members of the public are requested to avoid the area while the incident is ongoing.
Anyone in the immediate area with concerns who have not yet spoken with officers at the scene, is asked to contact police via 101.
