Three people have been charged with attempt murder following an investigation into an assault in Workington.
The following individuals have been charged with attempt murder and Section 18 GBH and will appear at Workington Magistrates’ Court today (31 July):
- Andrew Potts, 44, St. Andrews Crescent, Whitehaven
- Antony Gunn, 40, of no fixed address
- Melissa Howlett, aged 35, of no fixed address
The charges are in connection with an assault that occurred in Peter Street in the early hours of Wednesday (29 July) where a victim sustained suspected stab wounds.
The victim, a man aged in his 30s, remains in hospital receiving treatment for serious injuries.
Detectives are continuing their appeal for witnesses or anyone who saw anything suspicious.
