Detectives charged two with early hours attempted burglary at Glasson Rangers Rugby Club in Maryport.
The incident was reported to have occurred at 3am yesterday (Oct 29) with charges authorised that evening.
Wayne Fielding, 46, of Alne Road, Maryport and Stacey Turner, 28, of Eaglesfield Street, Maryport were charged with attempted burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.
Both were remanded to appear at North and West Magistrates court on 30 October.
