Two men from Barrow were yesterday (3 November) sentenced at Preston Crown Court to a combined total of eight years in prison for drug dealing offences.
Jaydon Morgan, 20, of Greengate Street, Barrow was sentenced to three years and four months for concern in the supply of Class A drugs, concern in the supply of Class B drugs and possession of Class B drugs.
Simon Morgan, 43, of Greengate Street, Barrow was sentenced to four years and six months for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
The investigation was led by detectives from the Westmorland and Furness Community Serious and Organised Crime (CSOC) team.
Cumbria Police officers executed a warrant at the men’s address on Wednesday 11 February 2026. During a search of the property, officers located Class A and Class B drugs along with approximately £3,280 in cash.
A drugs expert valued the substances, which were confirmed to be cocaine and cannabis, at an estimated street value of approximately £6,755.
Officers also seized two mobile phones belonging to Jaydon and Simon.
A spokesperson for Westmorland and Furness’s Community and Serious Organised Crime (CSOC) unit said: "This sentence reflects the seriousness of the offences committed by these men. Through proactive police work, officers uncovered evidence of their involvement in the supply of illegal drugs and brought them before the courts.
"The supply of Class A drugs fuels crime and exploitation and causes significant harm within our communities. We remain committed to targeting those involved in the drug trade and bringing offenders to justice.”
The investigation and seizure forms part of Operation Alliance - Cumbria Constabulary’s ongoing response to protect the county against serious and organised crime.
