A man from Ulverston has been jailed today (10 Dec) after officers conducted a search warrant at his address in October, uncovering cash and drugs.

Daniel Orsini, aged 34, of Priory Road, Ulverston was jailed for three years and four months at Preston Crown Court for possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and possessing or acquiring criminal property. He pleaded guilty to all charges at an earlier hearing.

On 24 October officers attended Orsini’s address and upon entry located the defendant locked in a small room.

A search of the property uncovered amounts of cannabis and cocaine as well as over £4000 in cash.

The investigation was carried out by Westmorland and Furness’ Community and Serious Organised Crime (CSOC) team as part of Operation Alliance.

A spokesperson from the CSOC team said: “The search of Orsini’s address revealed evidence of his involvement in drug supply.

“Our officers continue to proactively look to identify those involved in organised crime.

“Arresting, charging and convicting these individuals is a priority for the Constabulary and the public are urged to report and suspected drug supply activity in their community. You can call 101 – always call 999 in an emergency - or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
