A man has been charged with GBH and possession of a bladed article following an incident in Cambridge Street in Barrow on Tuesday afternoon (16 Dec).
Mohammed Faqiri, 27, of Cambridge Street in Barrow has been charged with the offences this evening (17 Dec) and remanded in police custody to attend Barrow Magistrates' Court tomorrow (18 Dec).
Faqiri was arrested yesterday following a report that a man aged in his 30s had suffered serious injuries following an incident outside a house on Cambridge Street.
The injured man remains in a stable condition in hospital this evening, with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Detectives are continuing to urge anyone who witnessed the incident - or the moments leading up to it – and has yet to come forward, to do so.
