Two people arrested following an incident in Windsor Road, Workington on Saturday night into Sunday morning (4-5 Oct) have been charged with offences and are due in court today (6 Oct).

Connor Cordin, 28, of no fixed address has been charged with aggravated burglary with intent and affray.

Lauren Weaver, 28, of Windsor Road in Workington has been charged with aggravated burglary with intent.

Both are due at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court today.

Two people have been arrested following an incident on Windsor Road, Workington overnight and into this morning (4-5 Oct).

Police were called at around 11pm last night to an address on Windsor Road with reports entry had been forced by two people in possession of a knife. No injuries were caused but threats were made.

A police response was immediately launched following the report and two people- a man and a woman both in their twenties- were subsequently arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. They remain in custody.

Firearms officers were deployed as part of the response.

There is no wider risk to the public and police would like to thank the local community who were affected for their patience and understanding in allowing us to safely resolve the incident.
