Vehicle fire at Appleby not being treated as suspicious

Emergency services responded to a vehicle fire on the Trade Field at Appleby Horse Fair yesterday morning (7 June).

The incident occurred at around 11.40am and involved a Ford Transit van.

Police and Fire attended, with fire crews extinguishing the fire - which did not spread beyond the vehicle - by midday.

The cause of the fire is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
