A woman from Whitehaven was yesterday (Dec 15) been given a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order.
Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBO) are issued upon conviction and include prohibitions to prevent criminal and antisocial behaviour.
Linda Liddell, 54, of Duke Street, Whitehaven was given the CBO after being convicted of offences included assault actual bodily harm, drunk and disorderly and misuse of 999.
The conditions of her order are that Linda must not:
• Attend Whitehaven Police Station for medical advice or aid unless when in genuine need of Police assistance requiring immediate action.
• Consume alcohol in a public place other than in a licensed premises.
• Call the police on 999 or 101 for medical advice or aid, or encouraging others to do so on her behalf, including staff at Recovery Steps, CADAS or Mental Health Services, unless there is a genuine need of emergency services requiring immediate assessment, action or treatment.
The punishment for breaking the terms of a Criminal Behaviour Order can be up to five years in prison.
